Ember – Korowai Takitini has been established through the merger of two leading services, Connect Supporting Recovery Inc. and Framework Trust; to continue to provide quality support services for mental health, addiction and intellectual disability.

With more than 30 years’ experience in the sector, the formation of Ember has seen the two organisations combine services, resources and influence to ensure we can better connect people with the targeted support that they need.

We began this conversation about joining our services together within the context of the Government Inquiry into Mental Health and Addiction in 2018, and sought to answer a simple question:

How can we do more for the people we serve?

How can we do more for the people we serve?

We believe we need to be ready to respond and adapt to the increasing needs and demands of the sector, now and into the future. The result has been the establishment of a new NGO Group. The group consists of Ember Wellbeing Trust; Ember Services Limited, a fully-owned limited company which delivers all of our government and DHB contracted services; Ember Innovations, a hub of innovation and social enterprise; and Ember Housing, supporting people with their tenancy needs.
